Big blow to PSG, Neymar ruled rest of the season out due to ankle surgery

PSG star Neymar will no more be available for any play for PSG this season due to the needs of surgery on an ankle injury.

Brazilian forward was carried off with an ankle injury during the PSG’s legume 1 clash with Lille, while the initial sources says Star will not be suspend long time and come in action soon, But on Monday PSG’s announced that he took more time to recover from injury than expected, because his right ankle needs surgery to repair ligaments and to recover well due to the facing a lot of injury in his right foot in the past, so for fully recovery Neymar has ruled out 3-4 months and it will be the end of his season.

PSG gave updates about Neymar injury as “Neymar Jr has had several episodes of right ankle instability in recent years. Following his last sprain contracted on February 20, the medical staff of Paris Saint-Germain recommended a ligament repair operation, in order to avoid a major risk of recurrence,”

Also added “All of the experts consulted confirmed this need. This surgery will be performed in the coming days at ASPETAR Hospital in Doha. A period of 3 to 4 months is expected before his return to collective training.”

 Brazilian start facing a number of problems in his right foot over the past few years that’s why he missed a lot of games, like he missed the two groups matches of the Qatar world cup due to the injury in his first game against Serbia.

While Neymar also missed the Copa America 2019 due to torn ligaments in his right ankle and also was sidelined several weeks in 2021 due to the similar injury. 

Neymar’s did 13 goal and provide 10 assist so for in ligue 1 in this season.

As his returning date has been set, its about 3- 4 months and as the according to the schedule their final league match of the season is against Clermont on 3 June with the Champions League final scheduled to take place on 10 June, so there is no chance of Neymar to participate in this season any more.
